The location is right in the city center, and the rooms were clean and beautifully arranged. Breakfast was hot and delicious, and the staff were always happy to help. My stay at Hampton Inn was the best hotel experience I’ve had. Veysel, the operations manager, speaks fluent English and is the sweetest host. He went out of his way to make every detail perfect. When I was sick, he walked me to the hospital. When I needed help planning my wedding, he took care of everything with a beautiful smile. My stay was a Turkish delight. Prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him said, Whoever removes the worry of someone in this world God will remove his worries on the day of judgment.

The staff were very helpful, and valet parking worked efficiently. Rooms are modern and comfortable, and breakfast was good. The hotel is right in the heart of the city. There’s also a small but fully functioning gym with 2 treadmills, a cross trainer, an exercise bike, a Precor multi function station, and a few dumbbells.

This hotel didn’t make much of an impression on us. The receptionist’s welcome felt very cold, and I’d rate the rest of the staff 6 out of 10. We’d just stayed at Mersin Hilton, where everything was incredible, so Hampton didn’t feel connected to Hilton.

I’m wondering whether the hotel left the Hilton network or decided to cancel older reservations priced in Turkish liras. I can see my May, July, and September 2023 bookings were cancelled, without even the standard cancellation emails. That sort of thing usually happens when a hotel leaves the network, but it’s still possible to make a new reservation. So I’m not sure what’s really going on. It seems quite possible that Hilton’s global system and the hotel are operating separately, and a new booking may not mean anything at all for the hotel.
