Grenadine Lodge

I've stayed at Grenadine Lodge several times, and it's become my go-to retreat in Dalyan. The quiet setting just outside town is a real plus in summer, when the center can feel hot and overwhelming. The air is fresher here, and the view is breathtaking. There are lovely places in front of the rooms to sit with a quiet tea or coffee, plus two dedicated yoga spaces. I also really like having solid, working WiFi. For a massage, book with Maria. Her treatments are fantastic. The whole property has a warm, family feel. The staff are attentive and friendly, always around when needed but discreet too, so you feel at home and well looked after. It's a lovely place to read quietly or take a rejuvenating yoga session. We had a wonderful week at Grenadine Lodge for a yoga retreat. The hotel is in a very quiet area, about a 20-minute walk from the town center, and the tree house is a lovely little sanctuary. If you'd like a terrace, choose a pool-side or garden room. Aygul was always there to help make our stay comfortable, and the staff were incredibly helpful. The vegetarian meals had plenty of tasty variety, and there was a separate menu with lots of options including meat and fish. I loved hearing the cockerel and Call to Prayer in the mornings. There are plenty of things to do nearby, including a public boat trip to Turtle Beach and hospital. Taxis are reasonably priced, and the bus regularly passes the hotel on its way to the beach or into town.

I'd been visiting Dalyan for years but had never stayed at Grenadine Lodge before. I wish I'd found this lovely retreat sooner. Aydın, an Istanbul émigré, and his sister run a well-kept haven just outside town. Yusuf made check-in easy, and my room was spotless, well equipped, and had a newly renovated bathroom. The grounds are all palms and lawns, glimmering in the heat. The pool, restaurant, and bar bring a restrained kind of luxury, and breakfast is fresh and healthy. There are free bicycles for wonderful rides along the lush lanes nearby. The yoga shalas make for a magnificent setting. A real Dalyan classic, and a comfortable place to reset your soul.

The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and easygoing, and the home-grown food was delicious. I had a magical yoga retreat here. There were wonderful excursions to choose from, and a beautiful beach was just a bus ride away. Such a fantastic holiday.
