Dreams Cave Hotel

I met Rifat, who showed me around, and the place really is a hidden gem. The bed was comfortable, though my room felt a little too warm for me. Everyone was welcoming and very polite. Shops, restaurants and an ATM are all within walking distance, so if you're visiting Kappadokya, this is worth a stop.

The rooms and location could use improvement, and they didn't quite meet a high standard. Still, the service and food were both great. I enjoyed the authentic Turkish feel and had a good stay, even if it wasn't excellent.

The breakfast was excellent, but the stay itself was uncomfortable. The outdoor furniture was broken, and the mattresses were old and extremely uncomfortable. There was no food beyond breakfast unless you arranged it ahead of time. To me this felt more like a hostel than a hotel, and I wouldn't recommend staying here.

There’s a lovely garden with flowers and fruit, and it’s peaceful to sit outside. Inside, though, upkeep is poor: a ceiling drips water through the cave wall, the lighting is so dim you can’t see well and might trip, and the TV didn’t work. The hair dryer’s improvised wiring failed too, although they brought another one. Chipped floor tiles left little stones and sand scattered around. The hotel is among the cave hotels in the area, but reaching it means using a narrow, uneven road, so guests depend on the hotel shuttle to get in and out.
