The polite, helpful staff and comfortable rooms were positives, though the rooms differed quite a bit in size. We didn’t try the inviting-looking bar, and the elevator worked, just slowly. The food included in our package was okay; other meals cost a lot and weren’t impressive. Laundry was the biggest problem. We were charged an exorbitant 900 Lira to wash only 10 items. It seemed other guests ran into this too, and the language barrier kept many from complaining. The hotel said the service was run by an outside company, but that explanation didn’t fully convince us. After that, we felt cautious about using any other hotel services. The stay was more stressful than relaxing, and we’re unlikely to return. Be careful about extra services and charges if you stay here.

The food wasn’t as good as we expected, and drinks were expensive for their quality. We also had to change rooms twice in one day. The first room smelled like a drain. In the next one, both mattresses were so old they sank into holes when you sat down. When the problem started, the night receptionist, who had first said he knew English, claimed he spoke neither English nor Spanish. Check that your room smells clean and normal and that the mattress is in good condition before accepting it.

The view is incredible, and it’s a nice hotel.

We loved the views from both the rooms and restaurant, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is new, with very nice facilities. Our room was comfortable, as were the bathroom, shower, bed, and pillows, and we rested well. There was a good choice of food at the buffet for breakfast and dinner. Wine was a bit pricey, while the cocktails were okay. The main hassle was arriving as a group with luggage: there’s only one elevator, so getting suitcases upstairs meant a long wait or taking the stairs.
