Yilmaz Hotel

The hotel has a pool, which worked well for our family with two children, and the hotel manager, Mr. Ahmet, was very attentive. Mr. Serkan, the waiter, took care of all our requests. We were very satisfied and will be back soon. It’s hard to find another Bodrum spot with such a nice sea, a pool, and a good dinner so close together at a reasonable price. We stayed in Ortakent, about a 20-minute drive from Bodrum center. It was a comfortable choice for a quiet holiday. Our 1+1 room was spacious and airy, with a double bed, a single bed, a pull-out sofa, a large fridge, a washing machine, and kitchen facilities. The hotel was clean and had good value for money. The shore right there was a little rocky, but there were lovely sandy beaches within a five-minute drive. In the evenings, the area where you can swim becomes a restaurant, with tables set right beside the sea and a wonderful atmosphere. The fixed menu was 800 TL per person, and the bring-your-own-raki arrangement was quite reasonable.

We had dinner there as a group. The setting was really nice, and it felt like good value overall. The food itself was pretty standard, but it’s somewhere you could visit with your family.

The staff were polite and friendly, and the surroundings were very quiet. Still, I don’t think I’d choose this place again. The rooms were extremely cramped and uncomfortable, and there was a disgusting smell in the toilet all the time. The single bed was in terrible shape, with springs you could feel. The sea was probably the worst in the area: clear, but shallow and full of seaweed. Wi-Fi was weak.

The staff meant well, but the kitchen was very lacking, and the sea was shallow and full of seaweed. We visited two years ago, and back then the service was quicker and much better, and the atmosphere was better too.
