Cinar Family Suite Hotel

The staff were excellent, and the pools were great. I liked the food, but it was the same every day. The rooms weren’t very good: there was just one air conditioner and it barely worked, and the mattress was hard. The TV audio was stuck in Turkish, with some very strange channels. The cleaners had an okay attitude, but their cleaning was honestly awful. The worst part was when the hotel’s power went out completely and everything went pitch black. It happened after the kids’ entertainment. I really wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We felt relieved when our stay was finally over, and wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone. The food was low quality and bland at every meal. We repeatedly had stomach aches afterward, which left us questioning the freshness and hygiene of the ingredients. It didn’t seem to be prepared with much care. The room was also uncomfortable and below any reasonable standard of cleanliness. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly, the furniture was old and worn, and a strong unpleasant smell lingered throughout our stay. At reception, the staff were unfriendly from the start and acted as if even basic questions or requests were a bother. The whole experience was extremely disappointing.

The hotel was shockingly bad, just as the reviews had led me to expect. We arrived and a scruffy, smelly man offered us an all-inclusive upgrade for £400. We declined because we planned to eat out, and he seemed unhappy. He then offered a room upgrade for £160 before we’d even seen our room. We said no again, and he wasn’t pleased. Our room was extremely dirty, with mould on the walls and ceiling. The air-conditioning drain was a pipe drilled through the wall into the bathroom and down into a floor drain, but at least the air conditioning worked. There was no toilet paper. When I asked the man for some, he asked what I expected for 150 euros a night and did nothing. I found a ground-floor cleaning cupboard on the way back and took some myself. We stayed self-catering, though most of the all-inclusive guests seemed to eat out too. Two families were alleging food poisoning. The pool bar was rubbish, and the staff seemed lost. We ordered three Sex on the Beach cocktails and got vodka and pineapple in a coffee cup. Staff were rude, unhelpful, and didn’t seem to care. It gave me the impression that if the owners don’t care, why should the staff? We stayed five nights and left on 13 September. Each time we went to our room, we passed a broken toilet seat and a soiled mattress. There were piles of rubbish in the pool area corners, along with broken chairs and sunbeds. The whole hotel was a disgrace and needs a lot of tidying up. We considered writing this review while still there, but worried we’d be thrown out. Awful hotel, staff, and service. They don’t deserve to be in business. Don’t go.

The pool was clean and spacious, and the night bar staff were the only staff we thought were good. The manager was shocking and didn’t care about anything we raised. Near the end of the holiday, he threatened to kick us out. Local shopkeepers said it was the worst hotel around. There was no entertainment, so the kids were bored, and we won’t be going back. We arrived on Tuesday at about 10 p.m. for a two-week stay. Two young men carried our suitcase up what felt like countless stairs, which we really appreciated. The room was very basic, and the door wouldn’t open at first. Once inside, the balcony door wouldn’t open, which seemed like a fire hazard. We’d asked for the family to be on the same floor, but that didn’t happen. We had to stay there that night, then the manager moved us two floors down. The room was a tiny “couple room,” with the bed right by the entrance. We ate out every night because the food was horrendous. Breakfast was burnt eggs and sweetcorn, lunch and dinner had very few options, and there was only one disgusting dessert. Drinks had to come from the pool bar, even though there was a bar in the restaurant. Do not recommend.
