Melrose House

The bathroom was the one letdown, a bit dated and in need of renovation to bring it in line with the rest of the hotel. Still, it was good value and a solid base for exploring Pamukkale. We really enjoyed staying at Melrose House. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place had a relaxed, welcoming feel. Our room was clean and quite spacious, which was appreciated after a long travel day. The pool area was surprisingly large and great for cooling off in the afternoon.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and there was breakfast each day. It’s a lovely place, but there’s no supper, and restaurants are always a ten-minute walk away.

We arrived before check-in and got a very friendly welcome. The owners went out of their way for us, prioritizing the room cleaning so we could get in early. While we waited, they stored our bags and let us use the facilities and pool. They also arranged an early taxi for the next morning and packed us lunch because we were leaving early. Their tips for seeing Hieropolis and Pammukale were useful since our visit was quick. The location is very good, just a ten-minute walk from the sites. Our comfortable room had the basics, including a hairdryer, slippers, soap, and a small terrace. Even Bibab, the resident dog, is friendly. Great value for money.

The pool was lovely, and everyone working there was so friendly. The hotel sits just beyond town, but it’s still an easy walk in. We found it a great place to stay while visiting Pamukkale, and I’d definitely recommend it.
