The forest walks were a highlight for me, beautiful in every season and whatever the weather, and we went out twice a day. I also enjoyed the tasty food and Doctor Muzaffer's informative daily talks. I lost 17 lbs (8kg) over 23 days and would happily recommend the program. It feels relaxed, with no pressure or strict exercise routine, and people of almost any age can manage it if they show a little self-discipline. There's a pool and a decent gym, too. I only wish the rooms had washing machines, and that there were women-only hours for the pool and gym.

I went recently and left after 10 days with a refund. A few times, cockroaches or other insects turned up in my room. I couldn't sleep one night, so I sent reception a photo, covered one with a trash can, and asked them to remove it during the morning cleaning. That can happen in a place surrounded by nature, and I wasn't too bothered at first. I said I'd have trouble sleeping if there were more of them. They put something behind my door, I shut the ventilation, and there were no insects in my last few days. What bothered me most was how some older guests seemed to feel stuck. They found a lot of things ridiculous and wanted to leave, but stayed because they'd promised their children. One said sadly as I was going, "We've gained so much weight, what can we do? This old man is the only place in Istanbul," like a scene from that time :) When I arrived, Ms. Yağmur at reception and the sports instructor, Mr. Mehmet, were welcoming. They told me the sports facilities were always open, which sounded good. They also said we wouldn't see Muzaffer Kuşhan much, just for half an hour at lunch. There wasn't actually a doctor at the facility, and nobody checked my blood or anything like that. An older man kept interfering with people's schedules, though he didn't check in or gather information the way the sports instructor did. Everyone just nodded along. He seemed so out of touch that he brought up the story of a woman staying there whose daughter had died while trying to lose weight, making her cry at lunchtime. He didn't speak to people one-on-one, just wrote schedules at random. I messaged him on WhatsApp to explain how I felt and suggested we talk over tea. He asked, "What are we going to talk about?" It was absurd. He wouldn't even let me bring the tea inside, telling me, "Let the tea stay outside." I told him, "This guy is the cave-born version of İbrahim Tatlıses." I couldn't stay somewhere people weren't treated like human beings, so I asked for my money back. For anyone focused on losing weight, I was told the "Those Who Run for the Goal Camp" is nearby. Find it on Instagram. I've lost 18 kilos and am still going, and people interested can write to me. Don't let silly issues and egos distract you from your goal, just get a refund and move on. I noticed the good reviews were old. It seems there was a different doctor looking after things before. After the facility started losing money, staff were laid off and Muzzaf took over, and things really went downhill. Sometimes there were only 5 guests in a 90-person hotel in Istanbul, and even at its busiest it had 14-15. So many people have left, which is a shame. The people in charge kept getting into fights with cavemen.

I went on my own and had a great time. The rituals kept me busy, and the low-calorie ketogenic diet was part of the stay. There was a pool, hammam, Turkish baths, walking path, and gym, with massages available for an extra charge. The staff were attentive and really helpful. The place was clean, though the building is showing its age. I'd probably come back for longer. For stronger Wi-Fi, ask for a room near reception. 🙂

The building's decor was lovely, and the food was delicious. We got a lot out of our stay and met some wonderful people. Mr. Muzaffer and his team had put so much thought into everything and made it happen. We'd be glad to come back. Thank you.

The rooms and decor were awful, and I even came across hair, insects, and a mouse. It was disgusting. They showed no concern for our well-being once we arrived, even though they spoke warmly and persuaded us to come beforehand. The staff didn't seem like real employees. Don't bring your spouse or family here, you'll regret it. I can't recommend this place at all.
