Staying at Napolyon Otel for a few weeks while I was in Rize felt like finding a second family in an unfamiliar place. It’s family-run, and that warmth came through every day. I’d spend hours in the evenings drinking tea and hanging out with them. The rooms were clean and breakfast was served too. I’m really grateful I found these people, and I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re passing through.

The room itself was comfortable, but water leaked from the shower all over the bathroom. We were told breakfast was included when we booked, yet there was no breakfast at all. There was no WiFi either.

Family-owned place with a good location and fair price. The people were very nice, too.

The gentleman who welcomed us was warm and hospitable, but the rest of the stay was a big letdown after we trusted the ratings. The room had no clean sheets, only a duvet and comforter without covers, which we couldn't use. The bathroom hadn't been properly cleaned either, with human hair and rubbish left by previous guests. The hotel felt unhygienic, and there seemed to be no precautions against the virus: staff wore no masks, there was no disinfectant at the entrance, and breakfast was left out on an open shelf with no precautions. We left without eating.
