The staff are disarmingly lovely, the location is perfect, and I'm rather a fan of this hotel, which does B&B very well. Selimiye felt VERY Turkish to me. In ten days I was pretty much the only non-Turkish voice I heard, so having Jenny and Salih around to help you navigate is really useful. Make the effort to visit Selimiye and enjoy Jenny's hospitality. I guarantee you won't regret it. It seems like the St Tropez of Turkey, only without the things that make you want to avoid the French version.

What made Jenny’s Place feel special was the people. Jenny, Saali, their families, and even some guests who return every year created a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable, and the hotel sits centrally in Selimiye near the busier town area and port activity. Breakfast was very good, as were the afternoon tea and cake served each day. It’s a good fit if you want a friendly place to stay, rather than luxury or a young-adult party scene.

Whenever I’m in Selimiye, I choose Jenny's house. Jenny & Salih are friendly and helpful, and the little hotel is clean and nicely placed right in the center, just a few meters from the sea.

It was peaceful and quiet here, and the service was great. I loved the place and would recommend it to anyone looking for that home-away-from-home feeling.
