Dinc Hotel

Serkan was welcoming and helpful, and for the price we thought the stay was pretty good. The hotel is very close to the train station. We liked the fresh ingredients and wide buffet at breakfast, served in a top-floor room with a lovely view. The room was clean, and the bed was somewhat firm but comfortable. The bathroom was clean too, though the hair dryer overheated often. With the window open, street noise was noticeable, so bring earplugs. The high elevation meant a nice mountain breeze at night. The breakfast was one of the worst I've had, and the hotel has no parking of its own. The room looks appealing at first, but up close it feels quite shabby. There’s no ventilation or air conditioning, so you have to keep the window open onto a noisy street. At least there were no mosquitoes. It wasn’t worth the money at all.

The lobby staff member was very nice, and they were accommodating and easy to talk to before we arrived. The bed was clean, but small and uncomfortable. The rooms themselves were clearly dirty, with floors, bathroom, and shower that looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. It didn’t feel like a three-star hotel or deserve a 3.7 rating. I didn’t enjoy the stay.

The breakfast was surprisingly generous, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights on each of two separate visits, my wife and I. It was the cheapest hotel we found in Tatvan, but still clean and functional. The room had some thoughtful touches, including a table and seating, blackout curtains, a good shower, and a comfortable bed.
