The hotel is handy for getting around, and renting a car made it easy for us to visit places. But the airport is very close, and the noise is a real problem. The rooms were clean but far too hot. The central system only provided heat, and they didn’t switch it even after we asked. Cleaning was good, but breakfast was genuinely poor: there wasn’t enough for everyone, and some items tasted old and bad.

The room turned into a sauna in May because the cooling system wasn’t working, and reception couldn’t help. I had to leave the door open just to get some air. Being so close to the airport also means you won’t sleep peacefully, and breakfast is very basic.

The staff were helpful and friendly during my stay, and the rooms were cleaned every day. The hotel itself is new and attractive, though the finish felt below its standard, from the hinges and handles to the switches and bathroom fittings. Its location is good, but being up a hill makes getting there difficult. They also have staff who speak Arabic, which was useful.

I was made to feel welcome from the moment I arrived, and the staff were attentive and went out of their way to help. My room was spacious and well equipped, with a beautiful view over the city, and the comfortable amenities made it easy to relax. The modern design and central spot, close to attractions and places to eat, added to a delightful stay at Air Barbaros Hotel. It exceeded my expectations, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious, memorable stay in the city.

It was so dirty that I had to clean the hotel myself.
