Horon Hotel

It's a standard three-star hotel, and the service was very good for what we paid. The best part is the location, less than a five-minute walk from the meydan, local shops, and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they let us leave our luggage at the hotel when we travelled four hours after checkout.

The room felt too small to be comfortable, though the cold AC helped. The TV is smart, so you can use YouTube and Netflix, but you'll need to change the system language first, as I did. Apart from that, I found this one of the best hotels I've stayed at. It's not five-star, but the staff tried hard to make us comfortable, the cleanliness gets a 10/10 from me, and breakfast had enough variety. The location is great too, just a one-minute walk from Trabzon Meydan.

The hotel was great, from the service to the restaurant where breakfast was served. Just know that smoking is allowed in the rooms. That can be a lot to deal with, especially if you don't smoke.

The cleaning was good, and reception was friendly, though their English was limited. I didn't get much sense they were keen to provide effective help, though. My first-floor room faced noisy nightlife that went on until about 2:30, so I asked to move. For two mornings they had me pack my bag, but I never got moved and nobody explained why. On my last day, the wake-up call didn't come, and I nearly missed my flight. Almost everything could be better.
