Hotel Kalfa

The staff were kind and helpful throughout, which mattered most to me. My room had everything I needed for two nights, and it was just the right size for two people. Breakfast was included and made a good start to the day. The hotel is right by the square, easy to get around from, and my room had a beautiful view of the Black Sea. I'd happily come back and strongly recommend it.

I booked for three people and handed the receptionist three passports, but she said I'd only booked for two. I ended up sleeping on the floor and woke with a backache. The service was poor from the start too, since nobody took my suitcases when I arrived.

Breakfast upstairs comes with lovely views over the main square and the sea. They serve the usual breakfast foods, and the butter (terreyağ) and honey (bal) taste so good that they seem to be local. Downstairs, the cafe is a nice spot in the evening, indoors or out, for çay, coffee, or one of the non alcoholic cocktails. Kalfa Hotel is right in the middle of Trabzon's main square, and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were kind and attentive. Our room was spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed. There were extra pillows in the closet and a thicker blanket too, even in summer. The bathroom was roomy and felt brand new. I'd absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone traveling to trabzon.

The rooms were comfortable and meticulously clean, and the food was delightful. I was also impressed by the elegant decor and the friendly staff's great service. Kalfa Hotel exceeded my expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
