My Home Trabzon Apart

My girlfriend rented an apartment during the school year. Even in the middle of winter, the tiny room doesn't get warm enough because the radiators are set very low. She has to sit there wrapped in two layers of duvets and blankets all the time.

We spent two nights at My Home Apartment Trabzon in July 2024 while traveling to Cappadocia, and I wouldn't recommend these so-called apartments to anyone. The location is the one clear plus; everything else was a big minus. The website listed air conditioning, but for $100 a night they first offered us a room with fans, and the bed linen looked used. They canceled the Booking.com reservation on the spot to resolve that, so I can't leave a review there. They then gave me a different room with air conditioning, but it was run down and very dirty. The cleaning staff seemed half-blind. We were tired from the drive and didn't look for another place. Even if we had, we would have faced an automatic $100 no-show charge on our card. It felt like the place was run by scammers, pushing us to cancel so we couldn't leave a real review on an aggregator. The kitchens have no ventilation, so the smell lingers in nearby rooms each evening when Middle Eastern neighbors cook. It's noisy too. Around 5:30-6:00 every morning, someone yelled in the stairwell. It may be an Arab neighborhood, since the residents are probably Arabs. I didn't photograph the rooms, but I'm attaching pictures of the bathroom and kitchen. The Booking.com pictures seem old, and everything inside looks disgusting now. I'll try to post another review on Booking.com so people know about these "heroes."

We were glad to have Zahraa helping us. Her cheerful presence made us happy, and the hotel provided excellent service.

Our one-night stay was in a clean, two-room suite. The kitchen came with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and dishes. The host was friendly, which is always nice. Wishing you prosperity and good clients 👍🏼
