May Villas Hotel

A warm, beautiful place for a family weekend. The natural setting has such a positive feel, and the staff are friendly and know their stuff. I’d definitely recommend it.

We stayed for one night as two families, and it was the worst part of our vacation. We came in late and tired, and all we needed was a clean room. If we hadn’t been so exhausted, we wouldn’t have stayed. There weren’t staff available to look after guests, and road works made getting there difficult. The room was dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. The sheets weren’t clean either, the walls were crumbling, and there were cobwebs. The bathroom had no shower head, and apparently nobody there knew about it. There was no toilet seat. Breakfast was included, but when we arrived they said the restaurant was being renovated, so there was no breakfast. We absolutely don’t want a refund. Afterward they called and tried to get us to delete the review, saying they would fire them. I’m writing all this out so other people don’t regret booking here.

I gave this five stars only to get the review to the top!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was seriously let down by the owner. He said he was arranging a May 1 Dubai tour through a tour company and charged each person. Seventeen of us paid, but we never got details about flights, hotels, or transfers on time. The trip was called off one day before departure, with no official paperwork. Since then, we’ve been promised a refund, but it’s been one delay and evasion after another, with very little communication. The law firm handling the case has also failed to resolve it. Dozens of other people have written complaints with documentation. I’m one of those affected, and we’re pursuing our money through every official channel. Anyone trying to get a sense of how the hotel with the same name operates should be cautious. Look into the people you do business with carefully. Trust matters more than a name.
