The breakfast was included, but the choices were very limited for international guests. You had to know to ask for fried eggs or omelets, and even olive oil wasn't available. The spa was uncomfortable rather than relaxing because the therapist didn't understand any English. I also came back once to find the phone beside the toilet hanging off the wall, probably from cleaning. Housekeeping felt careless: the bed was poorly made, towels were left hanging, and the general cleanliness was below standard. The front desk staff struggled with English and weren't especially friendly or helpful. Toilet paper with a rose scent was one small nice touch, but amenities were basic, just shampoo, conditioner and body wash, with no body lotion. I stayed three nights and four days after booking with high expectations because this was advertised as a five-star property, and I kept wondering how it earned that rating. I wouldn't recommend it to foreign travelers.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful, and I liked the coffee and café area, with a good view of Van castle. Still, the hotel didn't feel like a true five-star stay. The room door didn't lock automatically, so I had to double-check it, which didn't feel safe, and some rooms needed maintenance. Its spot beside two busy roads and across from a mosque could be noisy. We mainly came for the pool and spa, but the pool was small, cold and poorly kept; the sauna and bathrooms were dirty, and no towels were provided. It felt like those facilities were just there to meet a requirement. Breakfast was very average, the same each morning with no variety, and the staff seemed annoyed when we asked for something 😅

The high price doesn't match the quality here. My stay was disappointing: the rooms were dirty, neglected and poorly maintained, nowhere near an acceptable cleaning standard. Basic amenities were missing or broken, and the whole place felt uncared for. It isn't worth the money. I'd strongly recommend looking for accommodation that takes cleanliness, comfort and customer service seriously.

Getting around from here is easy, with restaurants, cafes, a pharmacy, boutiques and more all within walking distance. The staff were professional and polite, and the rooms were clean and sanitary. Some of the equipment could use maintenance or an upgrade. Breakfast was decent, though not at a five-star level. It's a good place to stay and rest, and I found it satisfactory overall.
