The pool was lovely, well kept, and had a wonderful view. Yahsi Beach was a ten-minute walk downhill, with plenty of restaurants, though the uphill walk back took longer. The manager said we weren’t allowed to bring in food or drink. A small 33cl bottle of water from the room’s minibar cost over a pound, so on principle we didn’t use the restaurant or bar after that. I’ve never stayed anywhere else where bringing in water was “forbidden,” as he put it. Ridiculous in such a hot climate. The room also lacked storage for clothes, and light from the air-conditioning unit made it very bright at night, which spoiled our sleep.

At checkout, we were made to pay a bill without being told what it was for. When we asked for an explanation, we were told that “restaurant” was all the clarification we needed. Hotel management threatened to call the police, so we paid and decided to take it up with our booking agent. Since posting these reviews online, I’ve had three calls from the hotel saying they’re willing to refund the money. That still doesn’t compensate for how uncomfortable the situation made us feel. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The management felt dishonest, and the whole thing came across as a scam.

The staff were so welcoming, and breakfast was amazing. We also had a great view, and our room came with a jacuzzi. I’d love to get the chance to come back soon.
