Palmalife Bodrum Resort

I had to leave and book another hotel because there was no way I could sleep in that room with the humidity. The problems started when I opened the fridge and found it filthy, with about two or three cockroaches. Cleaning staff came and killed them, but more kept appearing. I spent two hours dealing with them, and then the AC broke. They brought a fan, had no spare room, and could only move me the next day. They showed almost no remorse or apology, as if they didn't care about customers. The next day I called about a refund, but they refused, claiming I'd booked through Expedia, which wasn't true. They were very unprofessional on the call, repeatedly hanging up while pretending to put me on hold, even though I hadn't slept in the room for a single night and the problem was theirs. Service was slow and nothing special, and the pool was average and not very cold. The only thing I enjoyed was lunch by the pool, but they charged me for it at checkout without even offering to remove it from the bill, a simple gesture of decency. Worst hotel experience of my life.

Yalikavak Marina is about a 15-minute drive away, and the surroundings are dreamy wherever you look. After the hotel we used to book in Bodrum closed, we were lucky to find this peaceful, luxurious place. We've traveled to Bodrum for the past few years, and this hotel gave us everything we could wish for in a holiday. We had an executive sea view room, and it was superb. The hotel is built and maintained in a way that feels like bliss, with unbelievable views. Dina, the manager, is professional and customer-focused, making sure everything suits guests and greeting everyone at breakfast so courteously. Everyone was kind and ready to help. Breakfast was plentiful and healthy, with a gentleman playing piano each day, which transformed the restaurant. The restaurant has a fantastic sea view. The infinity pool has comfortable beds and nice music. Prices are the best you can find in Bodrum for this kind of holiday experience. I've traveled a lot, and this place exceeded my expectations. It's the most beautiful hotel, and I'll definitely return. Thank you all, keep up the great work!

The only good thing was the view from our room. The reception staff were unhelpful and seemed to have no experience dealing with guests. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was dreadful and left me with a stomachache. The Italian food was the worst I've ever had, with no real authenticity or skill. Management felt chaotic and unprofessional too. At checkout, the manager yelled loudly, adding stress to an already bad situation. This stay was a complete headache. I won't return or recommend the hotel to anyone, especially international travelers.
