Monique's Guesthouse

The staff are very accommodating with special requests and will do what they can to help. Rooms are spacious, with high ceilings, and the balcony has great views. Fantastic for the price. Highly recommend.

In June 2018, we returned to Monique's after a 20-year gap since our last visit to T&T. Monique is a fixture in the community, and the people we met going to and from town were friendly. Elizabeth, Jose, and the rest of the staff were warm, attentive, and clearly wanted us to have a spectacular time. The breakfast was great, the view was great, and the rooms were comfortable and air conditioned. There's plenty of food and fruit within walking distance, including doubles and roti. Crime isn't nearby, and yes, you really can walk. If we can, we'll come back. High marks. There's a reason everyone knows where Monique's is! Signed, the McKenzies from Ohio, USA.

The staff were extremely helpful and nice, which is why I gave this guesthouse a four, more than because of the physical setup. Rooms are small but clean. It's not really aimed at families, though Monique would work for a short visit. It's fairly close to Port of Spain, but morning traffic is very bad.

Driving up to Monique's made my stress start to melt away. It's a simple guest house that feels welcoming right away, a real home away from home for me. The atmosphere is relaxing, and the staff are efficient, attentive, and friendly. The rooms are well kept and have all the modern amenities you need. Almost anything you might need is just a five-minute drive away.
