The Cannons Hotels - St James

This was our family’s second stay at the The Cannons, and we came back because we’d been pleased with the first visit. Ian remembered us and made the stay spectacular. He responded quickly whenever anything came up, including letting us use the fridge next door when ours had a problem. On our last day, he even treated us to the roti my daughter was craving. The apartment has a private wraparound balcony with lots of seating, plus an outdoor gathering space. Inside, the rooms are spacious, clean, fully air-conditioned, and have plenty of closet space and clean linen. The kitchen is well stocked for preparing meals. Local stores, hangout spots, and places to eat are nearby, and you can get there by Maxi Taxis or rideshare. I’ll be back again.

I spent eight days at the Cannons and loved it. The apartment was very spacious and had all the amenities listed on the website. The kitchen came with pots for cooking, dishes, and utensils. Ian, the owner, was professional and available whenever I called. I’d stay here again and recommend it for a great visit to Trinidad, including for families with children.

I haven't arrived yet, but Ian has been pleasant and accommodating so far. He answers my calls, gets back to my WhatsApp messages on his business phone quickly, and responds to all my questions. It's a good start.

There is parking, though not much room, and the internet is fast once connected but hard to connect to and often drops. We also waited over an hour before we could get into our room. The landlord then tried to charge us an extra $20 per person that wasn't part of the original booking.
