The Royal Hotel

For our family group, the meal was the highlight: we chose a buffet brunch with a wide selection, including Maracas style Shark and Bake, Sada Roti, Fried Aloo, Fried Plantain, and Tomato Choka. It was so tasty that I kept going back for more. We sat at a large table facing the pool, and there was a high chair for the two year old in our group, along with plenty of safe room for him to run around. Tables were nicely spaced, so our group didn't feel cramped. We chose The Royal Hotel for our Family Christmas Brunch last year rather than staying overnight. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, almost like being at home. The hotel was tastefully decorated for Christmas, and the whole place was very clean. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm and hospitable, dressed for the season, and our servers stayed attentive throughout the day. We only had to ask if we needed anything else. It has a place in the heart of the community, offers 60 to 62 air conditioned rooms, a conference Centre and modern amenities for business travelers, and hosts weddings, family gatherings, and meetings. If you haven't been, go see for yourself. I think you'll want to return.

It's easy to find and close to the main locations, making it a nice getaway. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The rooms could use better lighting and a little sprucing up, since they feel modern yet dated.

The open air setting, nostalgic design, and cool evening breeze made the work dinner feel cozy and gave everyone a nice chance to connect. Everything was well organized, from parking and the welcome at the entrance to the service. The staff were courteous and ready to help, the food was excellent, and the ambience was great. I'd definitely recommend it.

The restaurant was a real standout for me. Every dish I tried was delicious, the chef deserves credit, and the homemade desserts were divine. The bar was cozy too, with great drinks and just the right feel for relaxing. The hotel itself felt clean, rustic, and welcoming from the moment I arrived. The grounds were well kept, with neatly pruned greenery that made the setting peaceful. The newly renovated rooms are modern, tastefully done, and very comfortable. You can see a lot of thought went into the upgrades. I'll definitely return. There seem to be more improvements underway, and Royal Hotel could become one of the top places in South Trinidad. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.
