Yuh Tong Hotel

The beds are firm, and the rooms are spacious. The staff were friendly, but the bathroom setup makes privacy difficult. The shower’s glass walls face the bedroom, and the blinds don’t cover all of them, so I wouldn’t book this place with a coworker on a business trip. The toilet is right beside the bedroom, with very little soundproofing, so you’ll hear everything. Turning on the TV while it’s in use might give the person in there a little more dignity.

The staff were really friendly and let us keep our bikes in the garage beneath the hotel. We also used the washing machine at the top of the building for our cycling gear. It’s an older, more traditional hotel. We skipped eating there because it seemed quite pricey, and there was a karaoke evening going on that sounded loud.

The room was spacious, well arranged, and had a very comfortable bed and pillows. Reception were welcoming and friendly, which we appreciated. The breakfast was decent, though not outstanding. We had a set breakfast one morning and a buffet the next. The A/C was the main letdown. I put it on cool, set it to its lowest temperature of 16 degrees, and turned the fan all the way up, but the room stayed warm. Since we were only there briefly, we didn’t think it was serious enough to ask them to fix it. I’d still be happy to stay here again.

Breakfast was fresh and cooked wonderfully, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious for the price. My family and I stayed here for a few days, and we were impressed with both the service and the rooms. The bathrooms were clean and modern, and the A/C worked fantastically. The staff were kind and accommodating, especially DEREK, and always served us promptly. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we’ll stay here again.
