We were so glad my friend suggested this place for our Taitung trip. I last visited Taiwan 4-5 years ago, and this stay was a lovely surprise. Hostels in Taiwan, especially in rural places like Taitung, aren't like the stereotype of a Western hostel. For scenery and a relaxing break, I'd pick somewhere like this over a five-star hotel. The door and bathroom toilet are high-tech in a way I don't think even a five-star hotel in Western countries could match. The owner was friendly and accommodating, with helpful tips on what to do and eat nearby. Taitung City is about a 40-minute drive north and has plenty of food options. When we were leaving, the owner rushed out to give us delicious handmade desserts. Huge thanks for that. I’d give this place 10000 stars if I could! 👍🏼

The founder's story was inspiring, and I loved the breakfast and how friendly everyone was. The Pacific sunrise is just a 3-minute walk away.

It’s in a small original village near the beach, which is a nice location. I left feeling less stressed and in a better mood. I'd definitely come back.

The beach is only about fifty meters away on foot, so the location is great. Parking the car was inconvenient, though.
