88 Noble Hotel Kaohsiung

We picked this hotel after having a decent stay at the Kiwi hotel near Taichung train station, but this one was a big letdown by comparison. The rooms were dated, the beds uncomfortable, and breakfast subpar. If I return to Kaohsiung, I'll look for somewhere else.

The night market was very close, which was helpful. But the shower had almost no water pressure, the hand towels were poor, there was no hand soap, and the water tap temperature kept changing. I couldn't enjoy a shower. The bed was very soft, and my grandmother couldn't handle it, though I could tolerate it, which is why I gave two stars. The paint needs to be redone. It's a subpar room, and might suit you if you can put up with weak water pressure and the terrible paint. I wouldn't recommend it if you want a comfortable place to rest. Hope this helps anyone visiting.

There was a musty smell in the bedroom. I think someone had smoked in it before, and they just didn't care and gave us a room that smelled that way. It wasn't very clean. The location was convenient, so it was okay for one night, but I wouldn't go back. There's no parking, and street parking in the area is very hard to find. Otherwise, you have to use an automatic car park that charges 100ntd per hour.

Our room for four was spacious, clean, and new, with four single beds, two TVs, and a fridge. It had a hair dryer, liquid soap, shampoo, and cleansing milk. Breakfast is included and runs from 7-10 am. The staff were friendly and helpful, though they mainly speak Chinese. Very good hotel for a reasonable price.
