The lakeside setting is fantastic, with easy access to nature walks, and the resort lends bikes for exploring nearby. Miss Su was friendly, extremely helpful, and knew the answers to all our questions. Some other staff weren't helpful. I could have accepted an older resort more easily if the room had been clean, but there was hair on the beds, floors, and especially in the bathroom.

Cheng Ching Lake is a park for all ages, with a kids' playground and space for several generations of a family to spend time together. Around midday, young people come to play games and barbecue. Early in the morning, from about 4:30am, locals stroll by the lake, breathe the fresh air, and listen to the birds and frogs. It's a little paradise in a busy city, and the largest lake in Kaohsiung City in Taiwan, supplying drinking water to the whole city. I grew up in Kaohsiung and loved coming here. After school, I used to bike to the lake to read and watch the sunset. It's a must-visit when you're in Kaohsiung Taiwan. Have fun and enjoy the city where I grew up and fell in love with!

The rooms have been remodeled, but they're still quite small and very noisy. I'd rather pay a little more for a better place to stay.
