Formosa Boulevard Station Garden Hotel

This isn't a 5-star hotel, but I appreciated all the supplies and instructions they provided, and couldn't ask for more ❤️ The room was big enough for two people and our luggage. It's near the metro, night market, and cosmetic shops. The owner and staff gave us a warm welcome, and the staff even booked a restaurant for me in advance. Free water, refreshments, ice, and snacks were available. I was super happy with my stay.

The owner was great, straightforward, and very generous. My sister and I really appreciated the free snacks and drinks for guests, including cookies, instant noodles, fruit, and steamed buns. We'd stay again in a heartbeat. The place was fairly clean, though we did spot a cockroach on the balcony. It's in an old building shared by different Airbnbs, so everyone uses a common elevator. Formosa Boulevard Station is a 5 to 8 minute walk, depending on which entrance you use.

We were very happy with our stay. The room had plenty of space for our family of three and all our luggage. Service was quick, and the staff were friendly. We booked after reading the great reviews. There were free fruit and drinks, and even a washing machine for guests to use. What more do you need? 😁

It worked for my needs for a few days, and the low price, great location, and free food and drinks all helped my rating. The water was unlimited, and I enjoyed trying different drinks. It's close to the metro and local train station. I can't say it lived up to the reviews, though, and I'd give it 3.5 if I could. The sheets and sinks were clean, but the shelves were dusty and the room was really worn, with black scrape marks on the floor, cracked walls, and a bathroom door that wouldn't stay shut. I told the owner, who came right over and spent 5-10 minutes trying to fix it, but couldn't. I had to wedge a small stopper in each time I used the bathroom, which obviously wasn't ideal. Soundproofing was poor too. I appreciated the decibel meter, and earplugs meant I slept fine, but with several people in the next room you'd definitely hear them talking.
