The doorbell started going off randomly at nearly 4 AM and kept ringing for 30 minutes. It was frightening, especially since there was no peephole in the door. I tried to complain, but the staff didn’t respond. The manager disappeared and did nothing, only saying the staff couldn’t do anything. There seemed to be no communication between the staff and supervisor. I left very disappointed and upset. The room wasn’t very clean either. I found hair in a corner and in the bathroom drain.

We liked the location, but were assigned the wrong room and then moved to one that was terribly dingy and musty. The shower head holder was broken, so I had to hold it in one hand while washing with the other. The hair dryer also sounded as if it was about to break. I wouldn’t stay here again.

For under $35 a night, this was a great deal. The place is a little outdated, but mostly clean and spacious. It’s also close to the busy district.

The only real plus was the location, close to Liu He Night Market and the MRT station. The room was small but tolerable, about the size of a budget hotel room in Hong Kong or Tokyo. The air in the room was the biggest problem. There was a strong moldy smell as soon as we walked in, and visible mold on the bathroom sealant. After one night, my asthma flared for the first time in 25 years, and my children started coughing nonstop. There’s no parking on site. They work with a nearby parking company that charges NTD $200, but a space isn’t guaranteed. Amenities were sparse: no breakfast or snack bar, just hard candies in a bowl, water fountains from the second floor up, and one coffee machine. I wouldn’t call this a hotel apart from the price; it felt more like a motel where you want to spend as little time as possible. Service was disappointing on the evening of October 24th. The staff member sitting on the left was arrogant and rude, though the person in the middle was friendlier.
