Papo'A Harbor Hotel

The toilet area was the one real sore spot for me. I saw what looked like pee droplets around the bowl, and the toilet itself wasn't clean. The walls have an antique look, so they can seem dirty at first, though I think that's just the design. The staff were friendly and the customer service was good, and there's unlimited coffee from a latte machine. Wolfie said it was a good deal and that it was low season in Kaohsiung. It's March 26, 2026 now. I'd rate the stay 4 out of 5 overall and would use the brand again. I'd mention the toilet to the staff on day one next time. Lol. Phillip from Vancouver BC Canada

Having a balcony with lovely harbor views was a highlight, though I could hear noise from neighboring rooms at night through the somewhat thin walls. I liked using passcodes to get in instead of traditional room keys, which felt more secure. Check-in at 4 PM seemed late with checkout at 11 AM. My room had streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+, though it didn't have live TV channels, which may have been specific to that room. PAPO’A HARBOR HOTEL is a stylish renovation of a historic Port Authority employee dormitory, transformed in 2024 to combine industrial heritage with modern design. It sits right in the lively Pier-2 Art Center (Pier-2 Art Center), where local shops and creative vendors fill the markets, especially on weekends. The decor and range of amenities impressed me. The stay was solid and reasonably priced, and a good base for exploring the arts district.

We didn't stay, but a family member had a bit of a restroom emergency. The staff were so kind and helpful, let us use the restroom, and asked if we needed anything else. I'm eternally grateful 🙏

The hotel walls that face Pier 2 are artworks themselves. The room was clean, modern, and stylish, and the location right next to the art space was superb.
