The place looks new and attractive, but the staff were unfriendly. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I’d still recommend it for the location. The room was clean, the staff were really nice, and breakfast was okay, nothing special, though at this price and in this area it’s hard to complain. Parking fits around 12 cars in a mechanical system that moves them within limited space. Typical SUVs should fit, but anything taller or wider may not. My main annoyance was the bathroom: the semi-transparent sliding glass toilet door doesn’t latch and sometimes drifts open. The shower and bathtub are also far apart, so I assume the whole bathroom is meant to get wet, which I didn’t like. 3.5 stars.

We got plenty of peace and quiet in a very comfortable room, which made a real difference during our vacation. Our kids also loved the playroom and family room on the third floor during our longer stay. The recently renovated hotel feels brand new, and the lobby is bright, spacious, and clean, with a comfortable lounge area offering Taiwanese snacks and tea. The concierge was especially friendly and went out of their way to help. It’s an easy walk to major attractions, shops, restaurants, and other conveniences. One of the best hotels around here, and a lovely example of Kaohsiung hospitality.

The room was fairly clean and the hotel looked decent, but my stay was a mess. My Agoda booking listed air conditioning and toiletries among the included items, yet I got no toothpaste, toothbrush, or even hand soap. Staff said I had to buy them. It was winter, and the heating function on the AC didn’t work; when I asked for extra blankets, they said those would cost extra too. The staff spent hours refusing to provide basic toiletries, then woke me at 1:30 a.m. to say they could finally give me some. Agoda customer service had said they would help resolve the toiletries issue, but never followed through, even though those amenities were clearly listed on its page. Unacceptable.
