Shang Ti Sitou Bed and Breakfast

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was generous and tasty. Service was excellent and the location is great. The value for money is amazing. I'll definitely recommend it to friends and family!

The owners are friendly and chatty, and their children were lovely and helpful with chores. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we could leave our luggage there. It's a bit far from Xitou Bus Station, but the free shuttle, one trip a day with no return trip, made it easy to enjoy the hostel's warmth and comfort. They also offer guided nighttime eco-tours, and we saw loads of fireflies this time. I'll book again next time! ^^

Breakfast was generous, with stir-fried vegetables, congee, and toast. The service was friendly, and someone even walked me to my room at check-in. The room was spacious, with a sofa and dressing table. It felt damp when I first went in, and the air conditioner had a slight wet smell at first, but that went away after a while. The bed was medium firm. It might have been cold at night in winter, but the air conditioning and heating kept it just right. I counted about ten parking spaces, some in front of the room and some across the street.

We stayed at Shangdi Guesthouse on May 1st, my sister and her family of three. The landlady was warm and friendly, and because we arrived early, we could park and leave our luggage there. We also bought discounted tickets for Xitou Scenic Area through the guesthouse for NT$200, which was great. The room was very clean, with a fan, air conditioner, and heater, a rare combination for guesthouses in Xitou. It got chilly at night, so turning on the heater made it easy to fall asleep. The elevator was handy for heavy luggage or anyone who has trouble with stairs. Breakfast the next day was plentiful, on par with other Xitou hotel breakfasts, and showed the owner's care. The guesthouse is affiliated with "Xigu Restaurant" in Xitou Scenic Area, and we recommend going for lunch or dinner. We loved the trout set meal, and the different stir-fried mountain produce dishes were tasty and reasonably priced. Shangdi Guesthouse and Xigu Restaurant make a great combination. I'll visit again next time I'm in Xitou. :)
