I only wrote about what happened during my stay, so it was shocking to learn that the boss had looked into my profession and personal information. If a business invites reviews, it should take praise graciously and reflect on criticism instead of prying into guests' private lives. That's really out of line. Shouldn't a business show its best side? The problems were already there when we arrived. The owner had a fan blowing into the toilet, and a dehumidifier was beside it, so we guessed there might be an odor and left the fan on. But we were just shown to the room, charged, and left without any explanation that the fan needed to run even in winter, or that the bathroom door was faulty. We only discovered the broken shower enclosure when I went to shower in the middle of the night. It could only be opened from inside the toilet, which was a hassle. By then, it was too late to look for somewhere else or bother the host, so I made do for the night. The room was dirty too: yellow marks on the pillow, hair on the bed, and lots of scratches on the walls. I barely slept. I had booked because of the high ratings, but the stay was a complete disaster.

No parking was one headache. When I asked whether there were other options, the owner basically said it was up to me to figure it out. The sheets were dirty too, and when I asked to have them changed, the owner acted as if I were accusing him. On my last visit over a long weekend, the cold weather and limited hot water left me shivering through a cold shower. I foolishly stayed two nights that time, which was even more miserable than our usual one-night visits. We usually only stay one night because this is an illegal guesthouse. There is no sign outside, and the stairs are so steep and narrow that I worry about getting out in a fire. It's hidden in a residential building. Maybe one night is manageable, but staying more than two nights over a long weekend will have you wishing you had gone abroad. That's how poor accommodation quality in Taiwan feels to me. The owner will probably strongly defend this review. Anyone who doubts me can try staying there, but don't keep going back like I did. I stand by this review no matter how much time passes.

My family was very happy with both the price and the stay. The room was roomy and clean, with soft, comfortable pillows and a bed. There was also a spacious, comfortable shared living room and a parking spot. The owner was friendly and clearly put a lot into running the place.

Parking is available, though you need to tell them ahead of time, and the location is great. The price is reasonable for a trip or a business stay. The owner is kind and ready to help, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. 👍👍👍👍👍
