Blue Sky B&B

The balcony was awesome, and we could enjoy its view while eating food picked up from the main town or the old street. The place is quiet but close to everything, including the old street and bus stop. The room was clean, cosy, and comfortable, and I loved the bathroom. The couple who own it were so kind, patient, helpful, and soft-spoken. Breakfast was simple and nice.

The owner has printed colour maps for guests with famous eateries marked, and the breakfast was fantastic. I had the best sandwich I’ve eaten in Taiwan so far. The waitress said the owner tried lots of sauces to find just the right one. There’s free parking right in front, and the place is very close to the jiu fen old street. It’s clean too. But the bugs and generator noise made the night awful, and the water heater was faulty. We kept the windows and bug net closed because we worried bugs would get in while we were out. Still, I woke in the middle of the night to humming, a shaking wall, and four bugs on my pillow and three on my friend’s. We removed them and found six more on the bed. The noise made it hard to sleep, and as we drifted in and out, we saw even more bugs climbing onto our pillows. 😭😭😭😭 I guess it’s not something we can avoid.

The owner brought out a dehumidifier right away when the room felt damp on weekdays. For the cold winter, they also provided electric blankets, so we slept warm until morning. The specially prepared breakfast was lovely and warmed us up too.

It’s very close to the old street and bus stop, which made the location convenient. The owners were incredibly friendly, and our room was clean and cosy. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable.
