I left with a good impression. The room was affordable, clean and quiet, though that may be because there were only two of us in an eight-bed men's dorm. The bed wasn't especially comfortable, but it did the job. Breakfast was basic and filling, and on a sunny day there's a beautiful view of the bay. The woman at check-in was really nice and spoke English. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a budget option.

Everything was very clean, though the room felt a little small. If you're taller than average, watch your head at the doorways. There's no reception desk, but you can contact the staff on Line, and they answer questions quickly.

The person in charge was very welcoming and helped us sort out transport both ways. She suggested nearby attractions and good things to eat on the old street, and even offered to get us extra breakfast if we needed it. We stayed one night. Although the amenities were listed on the website, they also provided toiletries for our room's private bathroom and a hairdryer. There were free drinks in the small lobby at the back, too. This place was an unexpected treat and really good value for the money.

We booked a private room for one night and paid over 2,000 NTD. It didn't feel worth the price: there was no window, no towels, and the room smelled moldy. We also ran into payment problems through Booking. After several phone calls we still couldn't reach the owner, and we were charged anyway.
