Hotel 20 Alley

We booked for the New Year's Eve countdown since this was the only reasonably priced hotel we found that was reachable by train to Taipei 101. Its location worked well, about a five-minute walk from the station, with shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were helpful, including one man who spoke good English. On our first day the room was missing toiletries like soap and a toothbrush, though they replenished them the next day without us asking. The overhead shower switch was broken and kept flipping back to the handheld setting. We could also hear cleaning staff outside and, once, another guest's baby crying, so the rooms aren't soundproof.
