OwlStay Jiufen Wander

The walk to Jiufen Old Street was so short, and the service really stood out. The accommodation has a rustic feel, but we felt right at home. 10/10, and I'd happily stay here again if I get the chance.

The host was so welcoming and flexible, even with the problems caused by the typhoon. She also did all she could to help me sort out an issue with my camera, and went above and beyond to make my mom and me feel at home. The view, the host, the charm, and the small but filling breakfast were all lovely. This tree house has soul and history, and everything about the stay felt special. Maybe it only has 2 stars on Google Maps, but the service felt like 5-star service. My only complaint is that we stayed for such a short time.

The sourdough at breakfast was one of the best I've ever had, and the rest of the breakfast was another thing I loved. We only spent one night here, but the stay turned out to be a lovely surprise. The house has an artistic style, with a nice touch of music. We arrived late after driving all the way from YiLan through traffic, and the staff were so helpful that they came out and helped us drive the car all the way in. The narrow road makes the drive to the house challenging. The shower would be perfect if the water heater were more stable and the gap between the big steps were smaller.

I spent some time writing in my journal on the balcony, looking out over the mountains and ocean. Our room was peaceful and just right, with a hot bath facing the mountains, and the shower room was really spacious. There was a piano and two paintings in the living area. Breakfast was wholesome and healthy, and our kind, responsive host was always helpful. OwlStay Jiufen Wander made our trip memorable in many good ways. They also have a really adorable cat.
