The room was really large, which was nice, though it had an old smell inside. I was there just one night.

I stayed for 7 nights and didn't run into any problems. The staff were polite and kind, and they cleaned the room daily. It's very convenient, and I'd recommend it.

We won't stay at this motel again. The room we were moved to was still old and dirty, and it had adult channels, which didn't feel Muslim or child-friendly. When we asked to change rooms, the staff member was rude and denied that the room had a past case. After we tried to show him the news, he moved us, but the replacement had the same condition. We were shocked to learn that the room we were first given had been associated with a suicide case. The lack of a dressing mirror and the room's different 'Aura' made us uneasy, so we searched the news and found a report. ETtodayNews Cloud named Room A127. We suspect tourists from other countries may be assigned that room because they might not look up local news. The Agoda photos were totally misleading. When we entered, the room was old and dirty, and we found that other customers booking through Agoda had similar issues. I don't know why Agoda lets this hotel cheat customers.

The room was big, and reception was friendly. That's about all I liked. It was a bad location, far from Taipei's busy areas and from the MRT, so we had to call a taxi each time. I booked this creepy, dark hotel after seeing the reviews, and only later realized it had changed its name from SLVMotel to SLV business hotel. We arrived at 10pm with my family. The corridor on the fifth floor felt like a haunted house, and when we went to the laundry area on the tenth floor because we didn't have enough clothes, it was even worse. The hallway was almost too dark for my mom to see, and she said it gave her an immediate haunted-house feeling. We were exhausted and went to sleep without thinking much about it. Between 2-3am, the bathroom lights flickered when we went in, but not as much when nobody was there. The bedroom lights also kept switching off and on in the middle of the night, leaving us suddenly in the dark and then lighting up again. We thought our Agoda booking included breakfast at the hotel. Instead they gave us 80NT vouchers each and told us to walk to 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, or a breakfast shop to redeem them. They should have said breakfast wasn't served inside the hotel. I'd also missed reviews saying tragic things had happened at this motel. Check the news about SLVMotel yourself if you want. I won't be back.
