Everything feels peaceful here, with cool, quiet surroundings that make it easy to get away from the city and unwind. Breakfast is included with the room, and you can enjoy it while looking out at the scenery. The views are stunning. I’d stay 2-3 nights to have time to enjoy it. We couldn’t get enough of the view, and the hotel has a pleasant vibe. There’s plenty of parking in a multi-storey lot on the hillside above the hotel, though the spaces are a bit narrow. The staff were very friendly and accommodating even though we don’t speak much Mandarin. Breakfast had lots of options, generous portions, and tasted good. The room was spacious and well designed, and the large bed was comfortable. There was some hanging space, a fridge, and a sitting area with a wide flat screen. Still, the rooms and corridors are showing their age. The finishes felt rough, and the bathroom could have been better built. The sunken bathtub was tricky to get into, and water ran alongside it, under the glass door, and pooled on the tile. It’s not enough to make you run away, but it wasn’t as spotless as the wide angle photos suggest.

We booked the Design Double Room after looking through almost all of the qingjing area, and the view was what sold us. The room was roomy, the bed was comfortable, and the view was amazing. There’s a 10pm curfew, but it was already quite dark after 7+, so we stayed in anyway. The water flow was great, and there’s a bathtub, though you have to step down into it carefully. The drive into the carpark is steep, so take it slow. Breakfast wasn’t impressive, but it was enough to fill us up. I’d definitely stay again.

Breakfast can be brought up to the room, and we ate outside with the mountains and floating clouds in view. The balcony scenery was superb, and the room had plenty of living room space. The bathroom was decent and had a bathtub. We brought our own towels as part of the hotel’s environmental incentive and got an NT200 cash rebate. They also had good recommendations for local stargazing and sunrise contacts, plus private transport. Our breakfast didn’t arrive on the second day, though. They said extra water bottles beyond the amount they’d arranged would be charged for, and the pillows were softer than we like. The road up to the hotel is very steep, so walking up could be a workout if you aren’t driving.
