Dream Forest Villa I

We booked through Agoda, which accepts credit cards, but at check-in they insisted on cash. After I asked to pay later while I contacted Agoda, there was some back and forth and a few emails from the agent. Eventually, the front desk agent reluctantly uncovered the credit card machine, which had been in plain sight. They should be clearer about payment methods, especially on booking sites, and say upfront if the property is cash only. The room was spacious for our family of four adults and a baby, with a balcony, but the setup was dated. The B&B sits up a single-lane road with decent views depending on the room, so watch for oncoming cars in the tight lane. The bathroom was moldy and very dangerous when wet; the bathtub rocked while we showered, and there was no shower curtain. For around US$205 a night on the weekend, I’d expect better safety standards, including a secure tub and shower curtain.

The room was spacious, but dated, and the bathroom looked icky. Breakfast had very few buffet options. There were lots of cats around the hotel, and some came into the room without being invited. They weren’t easy to chase out.

The room was comfortable, though taking a bath felt awkward without a shower curtain. The entertainment room has a pool table, which I enjoyed most, plus PS3, ps4, Xbox, and wii consoles that are mostly in Japanese. It’s a nice setting in the woods.

It’s a nice hotel with a great view, but the English-language service is bad. They don’t offer spa or massage services, and I think they should. It’s a hotel, after all.
