The hairdryer didn't work, and this guesthouse seems to have a lot of problems. It feels like they rely on the low price while providing really poor service. After just one day, I was told someone else wanted my room and I'd have to move or pay the difference. They offered a free upgrade to a double room, but only for one night, and said I'd have to pay the difference after that. I never asked for an upgrade. Their poor planning caused this, yet they expected us to deal with the consequences. Outrageous! When I first opened the room, it was a mess, with the previous guest's rubbish still there. I complained and was told I'd been assigned the wrong room. I'd checked its condition with customer service before arriving, but the room I got was different. It was so frustrating.

The bed was okay, and I'm a bit of a clean freak, but it didn't make me itchy. For a holiday stay, $1900 for three people isn't bad. Still, the bathroom had cobwebs above the ceiling that made me shudder, even though they didn't get in the way. The showerhead had nowhere to hang, so I had to hold it the whole time, which made me laugh. And the room bin hadn't been emptied after cleaning. It still had leftovers from the previous guest or cleaning, including toilet paper. You can judge the rest for yourself 😆.

The bed was hard and broken, almost like sleeping on the floor, and there was dust on it. Nails were sticking out of the bunk beds. How does this place still have a 7.6 rating on Booking.com? They said I could switch rooms, but the other building was a five-minute walk away and looked pretty scary from the outside. The parking trouble, low water pressure and leaking faucets are one thing, but what about the broken bed? Has nobody reported it? If they know, why let people stay there before it's fixed? And if they don't, is nobody inspecting the place regularly?

It was in an alley at Fengjia Night Market and felt like a typical home. The shower was awkward to use, and at some angles the water barely flowed, but those weren't the main problem. The website misleadingly claimed parking was attached, while I had to find and pay for parking myself. The lots I asked about were all very expensive overnight. Luckily I found one at a reasonable price, though it was quite a walk.
