Hola Motel

The bathtub was my favorite part, really big and nice for relaxing or playing around. The bed was nice and I liked the room design too. The food was okay, but the staff weren't okay. All in all, it was a good hotel.

The service was good and professional, and the rooms were clean and tidy. It's pet friendly and conveniently located near good restaurants and shopping malls. Getting there is easy by highway or public transport. A great place for a Taichung visit, though breakfast was just... okay.

We wouldn't recommend this place or go back. We booked a regular room for eight days for two adults and two kids, with no extra bed or other request. I drove my family to Taizhong and stayed overnight because the earliest check-in was 6pm. At check-in, they said I had to pay 500 extra for cleaning because there were two adults. That felt like an extra charge under a nicer name, especially since we all slept in the same bed and the booking was for two adults and two kids. On the last day, when I went to pick them up, I was told I couldn't stay even 10 minutes without being charged more. This was a normal room, but they applied the same motel-style charging plan.

The hotel was very nice, with a large bathroom and a private garage right under the room, which was handy. But there was a used condom on the floor near the bedside table.
