The location is excellent, right by the night market, so finding food and exploring was easy. The room was a decent size and comfortable enough for a short stay. But the towels were noticeably worn and really should be replaced, and the reception staff weren't friendly or helpful. That felt very different from my past experiences in Taiwan. I asked how to enter the hotel location when booking an Uber because “Beacon Hotel” didn't show up. The response was just “just enter the landmark,” which wasn't helpful. If I could have figured it out, I wouldn't have asked. The stay left me disappointed, and it was unfortunate not to feel the warm Taiwanese hospitality I used to associate with the place.

The interior was poorly maintained and unhygienic, even though the building looks new from outside. Dust was everywhere in the room, and I had an immediate allergic reaction when I went in. The floor felt dirty, too. Without the disposable slippers they provided, walking around would have been unbearable. It doesn't meet basic cleanliness standards. I booked because of the good reviews and convenient location, but staying here was a huge mistake. Definitely a one-time stay. I'll never return or recommend this hotel to anyone.

The room was spacious and had a sofa at the side, and the bed was good. I travelled with a senior citizen for the first time, and the hotel made the whole experience great. There was a variety of choices at breakfast too :)

The location is handy for shopping and food, including Feng Chia Night Market. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A pleasant, convenient stay. 👍

Kloud is one of my favorite hotels whenever I'm in Taichung. I love the rooms and service at beacon hotel, and fengjia night market is conveniently located below!
