We stayed three nights. The first day was perfectly normal, but on the second day around 9am a motor-like buzzing started inside one wall. It made parts of the wall vibrate. It wasn't blasting music loud, but in a quiet room when you're trying to sleep, that droning noise can drive you crazy. I told the front desk before going out around noon. By the time we got back around 10pm, it had stopped. I still checked with the desk so it wouldn't happen again the next morning. A different staff member was polite but had no idea what I meant, so I explained everything again. The sound did stop in the morning, but came back that same night around 11:30pm. There was no staff on site then, so I called a number and had to explain the whole thing again. The man who answered was very helpful. Even though it was around midnight, he came over and helped us change rooms. At 8:30am on day three, I went to the first floor for hot water for formula. When I tried to get back into our new room, the key card wouldn't work. Again, no one was at the front desk that early, so I had to ring the doorbell and wake my wife and baby. Terrible experience. A self check-in setup is fine, but having no staff around when something goes wrong is a nightmare, especially when the system doesn't work reliably and the room cards won't open doors. Thanks again to the man who came to help. This could have been handled much better if staff had kept each other informed and offered a room change earlier in the night.

Thankfully, it was just one night. We were on a family trip and the tour guide had booked this hotel. Three of us shared a room with one single bed and one king bed. The room itself was decent, but the air quality was really bad. The curtains were dusty, the towels smelled funky, and the room felt oppressive. The lights flickered on and off during the night. My sister, who was in another room, had trouble breathing and her eyes swelled after going in. I don't know if it was dust or formaldehyde from the furnishings. The reception staff were rude and condescending, which was quite disappointing for a Taiwan establishment.

The location is very good, but please avoid this place. The table in our room was so dirty and greasy that we had to buy wet tissues to clean it. White particles were floating out of the vent, see the photo. Our throats felt so uncomfortable that it seemed hard to breathe properly. The towels were very old and didn't even have matching logos. We'd booked an extra room and wanted a refund. The receptionist we dealt with was unhappy to help and kept insisting I show the receipt. She could still process it without the receipt, but I had to go up and down three times, and it took forever. We woke up on our first morning and decided to book somewhere else. We had booked three days, but it was too uncomfortable to stay the whole time.

The location is good, but the room wasn't as clean as the pictures suggested. The quilt cover didn't fit the quilt, so sleeping under it wasn't comfortable. You can't flush toilet paper or the toilet will clog.

The only real plus was the short walk to Feng Jia night market. The amenities are dated, and two of our three rooms had problems: the toilet wouldn't flush at check-in, the power suddenly went out in a room, the TV didn't work, and there were air conditioning issues. Soundproofing was terrible too. I can only blame myself for booking based on location and availability without reading more reviews. The counter staff seemed like they couldn't be bothered, frowning and answering questions loudly and rudely. I didn't take any hotel photos since there wasn't anything worth sharing.
