For over 120€ a night, our windowless room felt very expensive. I don't get the positive reviews: the hotel calls itself four-star, but to me it's two stars at best. The room was clean and okay, but sound insulation was poor. Showers in nearby rooms woke us up. Soap was the only item provided; toothbrushes and razors had to be bought at reception. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. The tables and chairs looked old and plain, with no decoration, napkins, or platters. There weren't even knives, despite some food needing to be cut. That seems to fit the rest of the place. Aside from reception and the large breakfast room, there wasn't much in the common areas.

We stayed two nights and were pleasantly surprised by the room. It was spacious and well equipped, with a big bathtub. Our windowless room was on the third floor, but traffic noise didn't come through. There's a 7-11 on the ground floor, and a direct bus from Tainan station stops at the hotel. The location was decent. For the price, it was really good value, and I'd stay here again if I return to Tainan.

The staff were friendly and patient, but the room's pipes were a problem. Whenever someone flushed a toilet, we heard a loud vibration and banging sound that woke us at random during the night. With no window or nightlight, turning off the light left the room completely dark, so finding the restroom at night was difficult.

The breakfast had a decent mix of local and Western options, and the front desk staff were friendly. Our room was clean and roomy, with free Wi-Fi, bottled water, and basic toiletries. The bathroom was spacious, with a rain shower, bidet toilet, and heated seat, though it needed hooks for hanging clothes while showering. We stayed one night for the Tainan Half Marathon 2024 (Tainan Ancient Capital International Marathon). There's a 7-11 right beside the lobby, and Guohua Street is within walking distance. We had a pleasant stay.

We spent one night here with family. Check-in was quick, the staff were super friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was quite good. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms were spacious and well equipped. Having a bathtub was a nice extra. I'd highly recommend it for a trip to Tainan city.
