Ing Wang Hotel

The staff were the highlight for me. They were warm, professional, and always ready to help with questions or requests, which made the stay much more enjoyable. The location was also convenient for exploring the area and getting to transportation. Ing Wang Hotel offers clean, comfortable, well-organized rooms in an older building at an affordable price. The rooms are on the small side, but arranged thoughtfully to make good use of the space. I was very happy with my stay and would gladly return. A good option if you’re watching your budget.

The front desk team was lovely and welcoming even though I speak very little Mandarin. I’d happily stay again. I was there for three nights by myself, and the room was small but big enough for one. I’d expect a tight fit with more than two large suitcases. It was clean to my satisfaction, though I noticed stains on the cups. Since I didn’t use them, I didn’t feel they needed replacing. I also liked being able to open the windows for fresh air. The hotel is down an alley, but I felt safe coming back at night because the streets were well lit. It was convenient for getting around and reaching places.

The room felt a bit old, the bed was somewhat hard for me, and construction started around 7:30 in the morning. That’s why I took off one star. The staff were exceptional and helpful throughout my three-night stay. The morning-shift woman was especially kind, lending us her own umbrella. I asked where she got her sticker, and the next day she gave me one as a gift. They also offer free bikes, which came in very handy.

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast turned out to be a nice surprise. But I wouldn’t book for more than one night unless the issues I noticed wouldn’t bother you. The bathroom felt uncomfortable to use: it’s very old, the tap was in unacceptable condition, there was black mold around the toilet seal, and the shower hose was old too. For what we paid, I wasn’t expecting much, but that bathroom still put me off. The sound insulation was incredibly bad. It felt like just 1 cm of plywood between the hallway and bedroom, and I could hear customers clearing their throats in a really disgusting way. There are better options for the same price, like the fort frenzi hotel, where we stayed the previous night.
