Lakeshore Hotel Tainan

We didn't include breakfast in our booking, but friends told us Lakeshore Hotel Tainan serves a rich spread with freshly made beef soup. I'd love to try it next time. For the price, the stay was excellent value, and I'd definitely return on another Tainan trip. The location was especially convenient, with food and attractions within walking distance and free parking from the hotel. Tainan Art Museum Building 2 is right beside it, and Bao’an Road, known for its popular local eats, is easy to walk to. In a city center where parking is hard to find, that location deserves full marks. The room was clean and well maintained, though less spacious than expected. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas and a bathtub, a nice bonus, and the hot water came quickly with strong pressure.

Over two weeks in Taiwan, this was easily the best four-star hotel I stayed at. Compared with the others, it could have been a five-star place. The beds were comfortable, facilities were great and well maintained, and both breakfast and service were excellent. I can't think of anything to complain about, and I'm Dutch 😉. Excellent value.

A friend left some personal belongings in his room, and the staff were really helpful in getting them back to him. The hotel is beautiful, central in Tainan, and the rooms were clean and spacious. One thing to know: pool rules are strict, and a shower cap is required, but they don't sell one.

The rooms are clean and roomy, and the hotel is an easy walk from the center. I also made good use of the gym and pool, both really nice. Just keep in mind breakfast costs extra.
