Breakfast timing was flexible, which was a thoughtful touch. An early serving works if you're getting ready for island hopping, while a later one suits a slower morning. Room 202 was comfortable for our eight-night stay, and the location in Magong made it reasonable to get to different sights. The Dyson hairdryer came in handy in Penghu's heat, and I liked that the hand soap was Ibilang. Washing up after a day out matters to me. The toilet paper was unexpectedly thick, and there was a bidet toilet on the first floor. Drinks came in foil packs with three options, so I could pick what I liked without using up space. The TV was large and the sound system great. Staying here was a real pleasure.

The typhoon threw off our whole Penghu trip, and our original accommodation had to be postponed. The owner helped us sort out a plan and made us feel safe and at home at Xiang You Yi. They even set up a mahjong table for us during the storm 😂. The shared spaces were roomy and comfortable, the amenities were complete, and our simple, clean room had beds with just the right firmness. We’re very grateful to the owner for giving us such a comfortable place to stay.

For three years running, I've stayed here on my Penghu trips. The owner is welcoming and helped us plan our days, even tracking down the seafood we were looking for. We had a great time and enjoyed our gout meal to the fullest. The private rooms work well for families with kids, and there’s a water dispenser for making milk. My room was incredibly clean, and I didn’t need to pack a hair dryer because there was a Dyson.

The guesthouse owner is so friendly, and there's a lot to like here. You get breakfast, with more than you can finish 😂, plus free self-serve foil-wrapped drinks 🥳. The second night's BBQ even came with lobster. The city center is a seven-minute walk away, the night market is five minutes away, and FamilyMart is just 100 meters from the door. The room had everything we needed. Definitely coming back to Penghu next year 🎆.
