After a long day, the room felt like a comfortable, quiet place to unwind. It had a practical layout, a comfortable bed, an en-suite bathroom, free Wi-Fi, and Netflix. The hotel also had a Korean sauna, or Jjimjilbang, inspired atmosphere. It wasn’t a large traditional sauna, but it still had a relaxed feel suited to unwinding and relieving stress. People who enjoy Korean-style healing spaces may find it understated but comfortable. The location in the Xinsheng North Road area of Zhongshan District, Taipei City made getting around straightforward. Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station and Songjiang Nanjing Station were about a 7-10 minute walk away, with shopping districts, attractions, night markets, and other public transport within reach. There was a restaurant and bar on site, plus free parking, luggage storage, and a 24-hour front desk. Public areas were non-smoking and managed for low noise. It seemed suitable for business travel, a short holiday, or simply a quiet night’s rest. There was a complimentary cocktail each evening from 8 to 11 PM, and the TV came with free Netflix. The room was tidy, clean, and bright with natural light. The air conditioning cooled well, and hot water came quickly with good pressure. It felt like good value, and I’d come back.

I booked in mid-October, but the reservation was cancelled before I had any chance to check in. Customer service first helped me find another hotel, which I politely turned down. Then, around noon on November 5th, I got a notice that my card authorization had failed, and two minutes later the card details were updated. I contacted the hotel to check whether the booking had gone through. They said there was a dispute with booking.com. After waiting 1-2 hours, I was told I had to cancel. Each time I asked why, I got the same explanation: an operational error on the accommodation provider’s side. I still want to know what happened over that month and a half that led to an early booking being cancelled like this.

The soundproofing isn’t great, but the price works for me, and it was quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. Guests seemed disciplined. My room was clean, and there was Apple TV and Netflix. The restaurant downstairs offered free cocktails or other drinks to redeem. Staff there were friendly, and the sauna was clean and comfortable, with private rooms. Parking across the street was free at night. Good value overall.

The staff were really nice, and the room was clean. I also got a complimentary cocktail, and the steam sauna experience was a perfect 100. The value for money was genuinely pretty good.
