I liked how clean and tidy the place was. It had a homely feel, and the manager and staff were warm and accommodating. The price was affordable, and getting to Taipei Main Station was convenient, though the place itself was a little hard to find. Breakfast could use more variety.

I’d stay here again. It’s on a quiet alley, with a clean, Japanese-style interior, and close to the main station for the airport, high-speed rail, and subway.

Chunky made the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and speaks fluent English with plenty of useful advice. The common area was pleasant, and our room was spacious, with a large closet and AC. We had to share a bathroom, but barely noticed. Clean towels, shampoo, soap, and a washing machine we could use whenever we needed were all available. The place was neat and tidy, and Taipei City Home really felt like home. It’s about five minutes from Taipei Main Station, with metro, airport metro, and train lines. There’s a large department store across the street where you can eat. If we return to Taipei, TCH would be our first choice. One of the most hospitable places we’ve stayed. Highly recommended. Great price, free breakfast, and good internet. The place is clean, and the owner, Chunky😉, is friendly and suggests places to visit around Taipei and Taiwan. It’s also in a strategic spot near Taipei Main Station. 10/10, recommended 👌😁👌

Nice staff, and close to Taipei Main Station, but it’s tucked into a small alley and was hard to find. There’s only a shared bathroom. Fine for one night.
