Hotel B

There are plenty of good places to eat within walking distance, and the route is easy enough with luggage. The subway station on the Green Line is about a 450 meter walk. Staff were cheerful about sharing information and directions. Breakfast mixed western and Taiwan food, and the coffee was good for my taste. If you can't sleep at night, there's a game shop a 1-2 mins walk away where you can try your luck at grabbing soft toys.

The staff were amazing, and breakfast was good. There are lots of restaurants and an rt mart nearby. The laundry machines worked okay, but set the dryer for at least 60min and bring or buy detergent. The room looked clean on the surface, though it needed a deep clean. There was some mold in the bathroom and a stain on the carpet. The gym was only a treadmill, and the other two machines weren't usable or useful and should be replaced. The shower head mount was broken, so it wouldn't hold its angle.

For a budget hotel, the breakfast was honestly excellent, with lots of dishes, fresh fruit and vegetables, decent coffee, and a clean, comfortable seating area. The front desk and breakfast staff were courteous and accommodating. The room was small and a little dated, but the beds were comfortable and the linens were clean and changed daily. It's convenient for essentials like 7-11 and Family Mart, only a few minutes on foot from the MRT. Several coffee shops and casual restaurants are on the same block. The Taipei sports complex is just down the road, with a 400m track for running and an enclosed space where kids can burn off energy. Very good value.

The free laundry was a huge plus, and the staff were accommodating. They brought us extra towels and called a nearby gym to check its hours. Our room was very clean, and the buffet breakfast had plenty of choice, including vegetarian options. We really enjoyed staying at Hotel B and would definitely come back.
